Evendale FC ~ 2018 Season

Hello All ~

The Evendale FC pickup matches will start back up on Saturday, May 26, 2018 at 9:00 a.m.  The game will be moved to Evendale Recreation, Field #3, which is the field adjacent to the tennis court.

Like Arsene Wenger, I am stepping down after years of mediocre results and mid-table finishes, and Evendale FC has retained Pete T. to take over as manager.  Pete will maintain the weekly email distribution, so let him know if you want to be added (or removed) from the list.

By popular demand, the Evendale FC with play one final pickup match for the 2017-18 season on Saturday, September 23, 2017 at 9:00 a.m. at Evendale Recreation, Field #2.

With light turnouts over the last few weeks, we will play the final pickup match of the season on Saturday, September 16, 2017 at 9:00 a.m.

Match Canceled for Saturday, Sept. 2, 2017

With a steady rain falling and much more in the forecast, the Evendale FC match for tomorrow, Saturday September 2 is canceled.  See you next weekend.

Next Match - Saturday, August 26, 2017 at 9:00 a.m.

Another great pickup match last week, with over 30 players.  Highlights included a hat trick from Josh P. before heading off to college and a nice finish from Michael M.

Please remember to bring white and dark colored shirts for the match, so that we can make even teams.  We lose several college kids this week, so feel free to invite some like-minded players.

Next Match on Saturday, August 19, 2017

"The game" keeps rolling on, with more than 30 players participating in our most competitive match of the season.  Youth was served as Charlie B. controlled the midfield and launched rockets and Josh P. slammed one home late in the second half.

Our next match is Saturday, August 19,. 2017.  Let's play.

Next Match - Saturday, August 12, 2017 at 9:00 a.m.

Another great turnout with more than 30 players for the game, including three Caraccis and three Sieders.  Our next match in tomorrow morning at 9:00 a.m.  Should be good weather and another strong turnout.  See you then.

Next Match ~ Saturday, August 5 at 9:00 a.m.

Anther great turnout last week with 28 players joining in the weekly match.  Highlights included a hat trick by Logan, some surprisingly good keeper play by Josh, and the inaugural appearance of Kelsey & Carly P.

The next match is Saturday, August 5 at 9:00 a.m.  Let's try to get the game started a little earlier than usual tomorrow.  Please post a comment and indicate whether you are in or out this week, and remember to bring white and dark colored shirts.

And congrats to FCC on another solid performance, advancing to the quarterfinals against NYC.

Next Match on Saturday, July 29, 2017 at 9:00 a.m.

Another great turnout for the weekly match, with 30 players joining in the game.  Highlights included Abi J. smashing one home through the outstretched hands of Zach J., before notching another with a perfectly placed header.  Not to be outdone, Nicky C. worked his way through a handful of defenders before neatly tucking one away, with Dad in goal.

Our next match is tomorrow, July 29 at 9:00 a.m.  Let's try to get started as close to 9:00 as possible to beat the heat.

Another great turnout last week, with more than 30 players for the pickup match.  We had a difficult time balancing the squads this week for some reason, but ultimately got it figured out by the second half.  Well played match and a lot of fun.

Next Match on Saturday, July 8, 2017 at 9:00 a.m.

Great turnout last weekend, with more than 35 players participating in the weekly match.  Play was fun and balanced, with solid play by both teams and the return of some past players (Katie G.).
