A perfect Spring evening -- cool, clear, under the lights on a freshly mowed and painted field -- 17 players came out for very well-played and balanced match of 8v8 soccer. The Light Team got on the board first, with the younger Mazzoni finding the back of the net, even with the impenetrable Steve B. in goal. Not to be outdone, the older Mazzoni combined with Joe R. for a textbox 1-2 touch pass beyond the reach of the Dark team keeper. The White redoubled its efforts and drew the sides even with back-to-back finishes, rumored to be left-footed, by Brint C. With strong play in the middle field and a steady counterattack, however, the Dark team put the matches out of reach on a couple of nices finishes, include one by Michael F. Altogether great run by both team on a perfect night for soccer.
