As Hull City continues to celebrate their promotion to the EPL (Hull City is the professional club where Owen played football ... He informs me that they have not stopped partying since the 1-0 victory over Bristol), players are slowly returning to the pitch.A perfect pitch on a late Spring morning, 19 players participated in the Evendale FC weekly match. Joe R. and Brian battled in the midfield, as Two-Goal Dan F. made attacking run after attacking run. Not to be outdone, Young Dan showed a knack for creating space and drilling shots on goal, knocking two into the back of the net. Outstanding goal-keeping by Tom S., Steve B., and Andy H. held the scoring in check, supported by some excellent defending (including Theresa B. and Kim). And Saturday saw the return of Angela and Katie (san Julie (?)), providing solid support for the white team. Another balanced and well-played match.
Our next match will be on Saturday, June 7 at 9:00 a.m. at Evendale Recreation Field #3. Please post a comment indicating whether you are IN or OUT for the match this week, and PLEASE remember to bring white/dark shirts ... those caught wearing gray and other team-ambiguous colors will be lapped!!

ATJ is IN this week, although may need to leave early ... coaching duties call as the boys team will be competing in the West Carrollton Blast in Dayton, OH. Wish us luck!!
