As Comeback Kids continue their siege, the Evendale FC has continued to enjoy strong support, with more than 25 players coming out for the last two weeks. Last week's match was the Tale of Two Halves, as the first half was a defensive struggle, with only a 30-yard blast from Dave (playing sweeper) getting through for a 1-0 halftime ... with a little extra drama courtesy of TS! The second half was an entirely different story, as The Sieve (me) had another reverse hat-trick between the post, before being politely asked to take the field (thankfully).
Let's keep the momentum going, both on our pitch and with the U.S. Women's Team in the Finals, and get the match in before The Match against Japan (11:30 a.m. EST). Please post a comment below and indicate whether you are IN or OUT for the match this week. Also, please remember to bring WHITE and DARK shirts ... no grays or other team-ambiguous colors!

Would love to play this week but, alas, I cannot. I will be in Columbus, Ohio with Zach, as St. X will be playing in a preseason tourney with a match at 11:00 a.m.
