The Encore Match ~ Saturday, August 29, 2015 at 9:00 a.m.

Another strong turnout last week, with 10v10 play in a match that feature many sensational shots on goal.  Rocket and Art became very well acquainted with the woodwork, launching a few unguided missiles into the posts and crossbar.  Pete and Joe R. anchored their respective teams with staunch and stingy defense in the back.  But Man of the Match honors go to Hat Trick Greg, who gently curved one in from 25 out, catching the inside post to score ... Amazing shot.

This is usually the "bridge too far" in terms of scheduling for us (you know, the week when six people show up and wonder what happen), but with the strong turnout last week, I am feeling promise in the air ... the crowd is on their feet, demanding an encore performance and "One ... More ... Week."

So here is the deal ... If we have 10 players committed to play (by commenting below) by noon on Friday (8/28), we will play the match.  If we have less than that, we will call it a season and start back up next spring.  Feel free to invite like-minded friends and, as always, please bring both white and DARK colored shirts (no grays).  Hope to see you this weekend for one more game.
